35-006-CThe Cyber Lathe is a miniature bench-top machine-tool trainer. It provides an excellent and economical introduction to ISO format programming using industry-standard G and M codes.
All the machine axis including the chuck jaws tool change are under computer control allowing the machine to be loaded and unloaded by either our Gryphon or Serpent robots thus allowing workcells to be created. The machine uses stepper motors on the main axis and features a variable spindle speed from 0 to 2000 RPM in 8 steps.
The software uses industry standard G and M codes, it features a graphical simulation for off-line program checking. The unit is supplied with 2 turning tools fitted in a computer controlled tool changer giving 3 cutting faces. The unit is fully guarded with magnetic interlock switches on the door.
