Celebrating its 25th year, the Worlddidac Award is the most recognized international prize in the education sector. It is presented every two years to innovative and pedagogically valuable products showing the highest potential to improve learning and teaching.

The Worlddidac Award selection process includes a review by two separate juries—one jury of teachers and a second jury of experts in the education technology industry. Criteria include pedagogic value, design quality, ease of use, innovation, and performance/cost ratio.

“This recognition of excellence from the Worlddidac Foundation, with its rigorous selection process, is a real honor,” said Wayne Grant, Ph.D., chief education officer at PASCO. “Since its introduction, SPARKvue has seen a strong adoption and earned accolades from educators around the world. This Worlddidac Award reinforces for educators everywhere the contribution that SPARKvue and PASCO solutions are making to improve science education.”

SPARKvue forms the core of PASCO’s SPARKscience platform, a global 21st century science learning experience that integrates real scientific investigation with an entire research-based learning process that includes sensor-based data collection, interactive visualization and data analysis, instructional content and assessment.

SPARKvue is designed for use with most digital technologies commonly found in classrooms. These technologies include PASCO’s all-in-one, mobile SPARK Science Learning System, Windows and Mac-based computers, interactive whiteboards, netbooks (such as Intel-powered classmate PCs), and handheld devices such as the iPod® touch, iPhone and iPad™. SPARKvue enables teachers and students to create science learning environments for real-time measurement, data visualization and analysis that students can use wherever science happens, inside or outside the classroom.
